Privacy Policy

Double Tilda Audio operates the doubletilda-audio.com website and the Tilda Looper VST3 plugin. We are based in the European Union. For any privacy-related questions via the contact form.

We collect the minimum data required to sell and activate our plugins. We do not run ads, analytics, or any form of tracking.

• Email address — provided by you at checkout via Gumroad, or via Google sign-in. Used to link your purchase to your account and to contact you about your order if needed.
• License key — generated by Gumroad on purchase. Stored in our database to verify ownership and manage activations.
• Machine ID— a hardware identifier generated inside the Tilda Looper plugin using JUCE's SystemStats::getUniqueDeviceID(), hashed before transmission. Used solely to track the 2-machine activation limit and to let you revoke a machine slot from your account page.
• Machine name (optional) — a human-readable label you may provide when activating (e.g. "Studio PC"). Stored for your convenience in the account portal.

We do not collect payment card details. All payments are processed by Gumroad (see below).

Our account portal uses Firebase Authentication, provided by Google LLC. When you sign in with Google, Firebase receives your Google account email and profile information to create a session. We store only your email and display name in our own database (Firestore).

Firebase Auth sets a session cookie in your browser to keep you signed in. This is a strictly necessary cookie — it is not used for advertising or tracking.

Firebase is operated under Google's Data Processing Addendum and is GDPR-compliant. More information: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Purchases are handled entirely by Gumroad. We never see or store your payment card details. Gumroad acts as the merchant of record and is responsible for processing your payment and issuing a receipt.

Gumroad shares your email address and a license key with us upon a successful purchase. Please review Gumroad's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your data.

We use a single session cookie set by Firebase Authentication to keep you signed in to the account portal. This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function and does not track you across other websites.

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking scripts.

Your data is stored in Google Firestore (EU region). We retain license and activation records for as long as your license is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your account and associated activation records, subject to any legal retention obligations.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure— request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data.
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of our website or plugins after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
